Adrian B. Wade Book Scholarship
The Adrian B. Wade Book Scholarship is a $500 award created to support a college student who has experienced the loss of a parent and is currently enrolled in a Georgia or Texas-based college, university, or technical school.
This scholarship is offered in loving memory of Adrian B. Wade, a devoted father whose legacy lives on through resilience, education, and community. Adrian passed away in 2020, during what was meant to be a milestone year in our founder's life. In his honor, this scholarship uplifts other young women navigating college while grieving the loss of a parent.
Each fall, Girls Beyond Grief awards this scholarship to a student who exemplifies our mission: healing in community, living with purpose, and honoring the memory of a loved one through continued education.
This initiative is fully funded through community donations and fundraising efforts, including our current Cowboy Carter Beyoncé Ticket Raffle.
Scholarship Opens June 15
